Hello!
I had this problem before and was able to find a solution via Google to fix this, but - alas - I have been unable to find the solution since I installed on a different machine.
Fully patched system and when I open Yast, the packages that are not installed do not have a checkbox next to them and the ones that are installed merely have a gray box beside it. If I remember correctly it is only one package that needs to be installed to fix this issue.
Thanks in advance and apologies for wasting time since I am fairly certain it is an easy fix I am overlooking.
Cheers,
Czar.
Quick follow-up,
I have tried reinstalling every package I think could be associated with this issue and I have found no resolution to my problem. While I mentioned originally that I only had this problem in Yast, it can be reproduced in any program that requires checkboxes to be checked. Instead of an empty box, it is blank space and if it is checked, it is a gray box.
Again, thanks n advance for your help.
Josh
I switched to the Qt interface for the time being, so Yast is at least usable. However, the problem exists elsewhere in the environment.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

No, it is a bug. I think I saw the report in Bugzilla. Search there, if not
find, report.
