12.1 xfce boots in xconsole

Hi all, I did a clean install of 12.1 xfce in my home laptotp (Acer 4530, Athlon X2, 4GB ram) - I used the official DVD (downloaded from the site) - everything worked fine until I tried to install the nvidia drivers - the hard way as described in the opensuse SDB (worked for me for the 11.4 Gnome)
for some reason xdm would not start -
after lot’s of tries (login into level 3, and manually starting xdm worked) - then I did the “easy” install (again in opensuse SDB with the one click installer) and everything works now -
the only glitch is that every time I log in I can see the xconsole window (and the login screen is giant xfce window, low graphic resolution) -
any ideas how to log in regularly?

thanks,
Dimitris

UPDATE -
not sure what xconsole means, but I close it and now xfce desktop seems to work fine -
I will provide future updates
