i’m not sure where this question would be most suited, so i’ll stick it here in the hope it’s right.
I’ve been having issues with 11.4 and intel drivers where it seems it’s using a ‘software/generic’ mode for the intel HD gfx drivers. this would result in high Xorg CPU time and slightly jerky video.
i had a play with Fedora 15 (using gnome3) and that video experience is very slick and low Xorg cpu time.
i high suspect this is down to fedora having newer/correct intel drivers installed.
to date, i’ve had no luck being able to change to better gfx drivers.
since i’ve also been unable to test 12.1 RC2 liveCD, how can i look at what packages are included so i can compare the upcoming 12.1 x64 release intel drivers with the working Fedora release?

The only way to know for sure is testing. Download one of the live CDs and try.
