I’m on 11.4, and I find that Chrome and Chromium occasionally cause my system to lockup, always on transition to a new page, sometimes while I’m typing a url. This happens regardless of desktop environment (GNOME/KDE/XFCE), and it’s a complete lockup, no response to mouse or any key, no option but hard reboot. It happens daily, perhaps hourly, with Chrome, weekly with Chromium, so that’s what I use. It sometimes happens on the first page I try to go to, and I’ve yet to find a pattern. I have booted computer, opened chromium, and started typing forums.opensuse, and had the crash - no opportunity for flash to load, so I doubt that’s implicated. -GEF
Chromium repos have changed: Index of /repositories/network:/chromium pick your openSUSE version. That’s for one.
Another thing is: you’re running 12.1 which is still in beta stage and considered not stable. If you want stablility, install 11.4, maybe upgrade that to Tumbleweed.
