11.4 x64 NVIDIA card - distorted image after booting from installation media

Hello!
I’m new to Linux, this is my first post. :slight_smile:

When booting from a LIVE CD of OpenSUSE GNOME x64 on my HP Pavilion dv9820us, i get a distorted image of the desktop, text would be unreadable, BUT the mouse cursor is rendered ok, i can move it.
This is what approximatively i can see (not my photo, found using google): http://i51.tinypic.com/1zqr56x.jpg

My videocard is nvdia 7150m.

Is there a failsafe option when booting from the live cd?
