11.4 will not download / meta4

Hi,

Wanted to download 11.4 milestone 6 today and it will not start download. Is it just broken today?

Also is meta4 it like a torrent file. I can only download the meta4 file it will not pull down the install version though.

I studied the metalinker here Metalinker.org - Bridging the gap however it basically seems like it works best with firefox and not google chrome.

Thanks!

Ok thank you!

This thread is in the WRONG forum area.

Apologies - I don’t want to be critical but … we need SOME sort of organization …

I will lock this thread, … move the thread to the Pre-Release/Beta area, and then open the thread.

WEB based and NNTP users please do NOT reply to this thread until AFTER it has been moved. You will know it has been moved by another post from me (in the correct area).

Ok thank you![/QUOTE]

Ok, thread has been moved and it is now open again to both WEB based and NNTP based users. Feel free to reply now (although I think problem is now solved).

Sry bout that!

I had the same problem (getting bittorrent instead of meta4 files) first
(I think also on the day before yesterday) but it disappeared on my 4th or so trying (after me trying other versions like the unwanted DVD) without me doing anything special.

If a problem like that appeared the next time with a ‘fresh’ milestone iso it may help to go to
Index of /factory/iso
and choose the ‘Details’ link of the according iso build number (the one for 1034 is now away) and chose there the *.meta4 (IETF Metalink) file.

Just a thought
have a lot of luck and fun
