I fresh installed openSUSE 11.4 RC2 64bit.
I selected all default options.
Installation completes successfully,
but when I reboot I get GRUB error 25.
I looked at what the installation setup for GRUB
and it seems like it is pointing to the wrong HDD.
(OS installed to HDD # 0, but GRUB configured to boot HDD # 1)
I know how to fix this after the installation,
but am wondering why the installation of GRUB is incorrect?

Have you submitted a bug report? Checked bugzilla?
GRUB has certainly become buggy since RC1. Installing that one on a multi-
boot system lost Windows from the menu. That’s fixed in RC2 but the other
couple of openSUSE sessions have gone missing. I’ve reported that bug.

That doesn’t surprise me. Searching for a bug using keywords and operating
system seems to be governed mostly by chance. I usually find a few that have
some relevance but the majority in the returned list don’t contain the
keyword and are for the wrong system.
I suppose I should have submitted a bug report about bugzilla searches - or
perhaps I did and can’t find it.
