11.4 install crashes (Mac mini)

I wanted to install 11.4 on a Mac mini (Intel, mid-2010 model). Everything seemed to go fine for an hour, that is, until the installation of software was about 100% complete. At that point, the screen went black and everything stopped. I had to do a power-off reset. After reset, the Linux partition seemed to be bootable, but it really was not, as the same black screen appeared almost immediately.

(My earlier Ubuntu 10.10 installation on this machine ran fine. But I wanted to try something else.)

i believe it has booted, but the graphics is unable to show you that
since it needs a different configuration…

this page includes a “1st thing to try (nomodeset)” and exactly how to
try that…and where to go from there:

http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Configuring_graphics_cards

btw, i’m not certain, but i think all mini (and maybe all Mac) users
hit this same wall…you might try a search like this, to see the
bigger picture: http://tinyurl.com/5rq2bra

Thank you, but… It seems that openSUSE does not really support Mac mini. I’ll just re-install Ubuntu.
