11.4 -Can we use a newer kernel during installation?

Guys,

Due to some raid cards etc, is there a way whereby whilst installing 11.4 , we can use a newer kernel, say 3.1 or 3.4 instead of the 2.6 that comes with opensuse 11.4 ?

I was able to do this once last year or so but i did not document it well.

Any insight on this ?

Thanx.

Use a newer version of openSUSE, 11.4 is very old.

And 12.2 has a 3.4 kernel, thus it will solve your question and at the same time give you a supported version of openSUSE.
