As of today, Stephen Kulow removed the 11.3 redirect. As a result, if you have
RC2, you can use “zypper dup” to upgrade to Gold Master (GM), the "official 11.3
release.
I see there is a licence dialog that needs you to agree before the update.
Does this mean that opensuse is returning to the original regime of having to accept the licence terms before installation?
Worked great on my laptop.

Accepting the license has always been a part of openSUSE. Nothing new here.
Just did a Zypper dup with the following repos enabled:
| Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh
—±------------------------------------±------------------------------------±--------±-------
1 | Updates for openSUSE 11.3 11.3-1.80 | Updates for openSUSE 11.3 11.3-1.80 | Yes | Yes
2 | factorynon-oss | factorynon-oss | Yes | Yes
3 | factorynon-oss-source | factorynon-oss-source | Yes | Yes
4 | factoryoss | factoryoss | Yes | Yes
5 | factoryoss-source | factoryoss-source | Yes | Yes
I presume this is the code that was referred to above. I can never keep all these repos straight. Anyway, I believe that what I have loaded is the compliment of the GM. It is working fine.
Now then, I have seen complaints about the nouveau display and I must say that I haven’t had any problems with it on my nvidia 7300 LE. Prior to this version I always had a 1/4" offset error on the left side of my screen that was only fixed by loading the Proprietary Driver. Now it works fine with the defalut driver loaded during the install. -And- VMware 7.0 works. I was have trouble with the compiles in the first preliminary releases. It is working fine since RC2. The compiles and the graphics.
Good job and thanks.
The repos you want are listed here:
‘dup’ to 11.3 now Possible](http://forums.opensuse.org/english/news/announcements/441846-dup-11-3-now-possible.html)
Factory has moved on from 11.3
Thanks, my “zypper dup” was fine, and so is 11.3 after a couple of days testing and updating with packman’s latest 11.3 repo.
Ok. Thanks. I switched to the repos you pointed out and did the zypper dup. It loaded / re-loaded a lot. Restarted and my VMware still works! -anndd- the device notifier is back. So thanks, now I too can call this a good release. Those were my two main points. Still want to get the full DVD and then try a clean install. But for now it looks good.
Excellent news!
