We need more info. Wireless is working like a champ on my RC1 systems -
both 32 and 64 bits.

There is NO wireless device in the lspci output. No OS is very good at
autodetecting virtual devices.

If you are sure that it is a PCI device, then it either failed or it has
been turned off in the BIOS. Have you checked to see if it shows up in
the output of lsusb?

solid-network query status

networking: is enabled

I am using wired network now
I use KDE, I installed Live CD x64

None of these is a wireless device.

From what you have posted, your wireless device appears to be defective or
turned off by the BIOS.

solid-network options didnt work
it says there is only one network device(wired) :frowning:
in yast network settings it says
AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express)
It has nothing to do with bios
I can use it by switching ubuntu or win7
i can use it in opensuse 11.2

Your problem is that the AR9285 DOES NOT SHOW UP IN THE LSPCI listing.
Excuse me for shouting, but you do not appear to be listening. Until you
solve that problem, your computer does not have a wireless device;
therefore, wireless is disabled.

I have given you the reasons for this condition twice, but you claim I’m
wrong. You are on your own. Good luck!

in fact I cant understand people of this forum
I have done everything you said and you can say i am not listening you
alright you have found the problem and what about the solution
you gave nothing about it
mandriva, ubuntu, fedora, sabayon, pardus, mint and so much forum i am in
and these people are most rude, most uninformative, most unhelpful people
opensuse deserve to die because of people like you

i am so sorry about this situation but you guys were right.
i did reset my bios yesterday and it worked
but i just cant understand that when i try to install it wireless didnt work again until i reset my bios.
do i have to reset my bios everytime when i install it?
