11.3 - Network-Manager-Gnome-Vpnc fails after security update

Hello guys,
I’m experiencing problems with gnome-vpnc in my suse 11.3.

It all started after the latest security update released for Network Manager, few days ago.
Before upgrading, all my vpn connections were working perfectly, now I only get an error message from the applet that says “Did not receive a reply”; and there is no message in /var/log/NetworkManager to help me troubleshoot the issue. Please note that the vpns work fine if I connect using vpnc via command line.

I’m quite sure it depends on the security update just released, I tryed on another pc to connect before and after the upgrade, I could connect before not after…

NetworkManager version 0.8

An additional info, I found that even the broadband mobile connections are failing. I didn’t try via command line because I dont’n know how to do that, anyway I’m quite sure they would work that way

You can go into yast search for the updated packages, in the version tab
you select the previous version which worked and downgrade to that.
I think in gnome in 11.3 the yast had no version tab so you need to ran
the yast qt frontend to see it and use it.

I uninstalled network manger than reinstalled it from the suse 11.3 dvd, now it’s all working good.
Hope this issue will be solved, in the meantime I’m forced to use this unpatched version.

possible otherwise there is a good chance that it will not be solved.
