Installed 11.3 today and decided to give Btrfs a try. While the YaST updates were going on, I saw a line zip by that said fsck.btrfs was not found. Even after installing btrfsprogs from the standard repo, I’m unable to locate it.
Any ideas as to how to install it (properly)? Thanks!
cnf btrfsck
Program 'btrfsck' is present in package 'btrfsprogs', which is installed on your system.
Absolute path to 'btrfsck' is '/sbin/btrfsck', so running it may require superuser privileges (eg. root).
And you mean 11.3, because i don’t think it exists on 11.2.

No, I mean 11.2.
I checked now using cnf, and it does exist in the same package. cnf uses a different database than
webpin.

Hmm, btrfsck is a part of the btrfsprogs so simply searching for btrfsck on webpin doesn’t do the trick. Anyways, cnf managed to find it in /sbin/btrfsck. (Had to install btrfsprogs first)
Anyways, I created a symlink called fsck.btrfs to btrfsck and now I don’t get the warning message anymore at startup.
***Edit: ***Found a relevant bug report here: Bug #599224
From the report
A hardlink should be created instead of a symlink
Unfortunately the above wont help at boot-time checks because brtfsck is not option compatible with fsck.
Guess we got to wait till someone comes up with a compatible fsck.

Look again. They exist.
cer@Elessar:~> cnf btrfsck
The program ‘btrfsck’ can be found in the following package:
