Greetings from Guelph! As an OpenSuse user since 2006 I am “putting my money where my mouth is” and testing the KDE version of 11.3 Milestone 2 on my beloved Asus Eee PC 701 4G. So far, the KDE netbook launcher is gorgeous. I appreciate the way the user can switch from a regular desktop to the netbook launcher in Desktop preferences, Display, Workspace. Also, the operation of the launcher is very smooth and elegant. The first bug I have encountered is with the x server not starting a bootup, but apparently this has been fixed in an update I probably have not received yet.
When final of 11.3 is released I will most likely “put my money where my mouth is” and buy the boxed version.
Way to go developers! My Eee loves it so far.
