[11.3 M1 Gnome i686] Live USB fails to boot

Can anyone confirm if the 11.3 M1 GNOME i686 fails to boot from a live USB? (Using dd)

I used the same method for the current 11.2 stable GNOME i686 and it works fine, however 11.3 M1 and the current factory ISOs don’t boot.

Right at the beginning of the boot process I get a ‘BAR 6 cannot find medium’ (or something like that) message, followed by pages of scrolling udev-related messages. The screen then gets into graphical mode with the mouse cursor visible (on a black background) but the system doesn’t boot any further. The system is still responsive (Caps lock/Num lock works) but none of the regular escape key combos (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace etc) work.

Similar issue with the current factory builds, however it completely freezes after it turns on the quotas (‘checking quotas. This may take some time’)

Check your BIOS settings. Look for something like USB Legacy Support.

As I said, the current stable builds work fine, it’s just a problem I’m facing with M1 and factory.
