11.2 Update failed

I attempted to update 11.1 to 11.2 and developed the following problems:

  1. All accounts except the Root account do not have internet access.

  2. Yast not set to access Suse repos

  3. Repos (even non-Suse repos) are lost when upgrading

  4. Uninstall of Mozilla also unstalled many packages, including Office. Reinstallation of Mozilla is incomplete and doesn’t reinstall everything it took off.

  5. If you let it, Suse will trash a duel boot setup.

Update:

The un-installation and re-installation of Mozilla trashed the Suse installation. It will only boot to command line and the repair feature on the DVD doesn’t find the problem. I will open up my dusty “Running Linux” book and use command line to save the files I need to install another distribution.

11.2 Installation package is buggy and not ready for prime time. A major setback for Suse.

Which instructions did you follow, that caused this? Or did you “attempt” out of the blue?
