This was not really something I anticipated, I figured they would stay just not be updated. So application I might want to re-install or removed previously and want to try again I can no longer do via those.
I was just wondering if there are alternatives for those 2 repo’s ? At first I thought maybe simply search them via the OSB page but 11.2 has been removed as a selection there also.
Updating is of-course the best option I know but for now I rather would leave these 2 machines on 11.2 till I find a good time to migrate.
Short answer: I am pretty sure there is no alternative. Evergreen basically aims towards users who wants to keep their system after the official support without the need to upgrade, but still want backported bugfixes (otherwise they’d upgrade to a current version of openSUSE).
Is there any pass to have a smooth network upgrade?
And it would be also good to send any notification like it is done in SUSE enterprise server : “your release X will not receive any support from today onwards” or something like this. I just have received the message that Repo is not reachable and that’s it.
I guess my older relatives who use opensuse are in shock with no idea what to do next.
e.g. UBUNTU offers the network update and it was working well for last releases. Is there anything similar for opensuse?
