Same problem as with RC1. After DVD installation on a freshly formatted disk, RC2 dies after first boot when entering graphics mode. Blank screen, no keyboard, only hard reset is possible and installation is incomplete. After some searching, it appears that the graphics card is not supported by the OS nv driver. Using some tricks, I installed the nVidia driver and RC2 finished installation and worked flawlessly. Tricks involved booting in rescue system, mounting the disk, renaming the X directory, rebooting, setting up network manually, downloading nVidia driver from nVidia ftp site, etc… Not a user friendly procedure.
I know, because that’s what happens with my Acer laptop with a Mobility Radeon x700, that the installation can detect if graphics mode is not supported, and proceed in character mode.
I hope it can be done for my nVidia card.
