11.2 on Laptop cycles in sleep mode

I just installed 11.2 on my dv90000 HP laptop and everything seems to work fine. Unfortunately, after getting the PM modules to work correctly, I have about a 1:5 chance that when my PC goes into sleep/suspend mode it will not come out. What it does instead is comes up to the screen lock for about 3 seconds and then goes back into sleep/suspend mode. Hibernate works fine, so far. I end up having to hold the power button down to recycle the power and I’d rather not do that. Any help?

I searched for an article I saw on the subject during a previous attempt at fixing some ACPI problems, but to no avail.

Bump anyone?

I looked, but couldn’t find the specs for your laptop. Does it have Intel video? Also, what desktop environment are you running? I’ve noticed that sometimes when I bring my netbook out of sleep, it will go right back into sleep mode again in KDE 4.4.

I has a GEFORCE GO 6150 (nvidia) card. It’s an ‘HP dv9308nr’ to be exact. I’m running Gnome on 11.2; whatever the most recent package is.
