11.2 LiveCD with 4.4 SC?

This post here:
[opensuse-kde] KDE SC 4.4 in the openSUSE Build Service](http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde/2010-02/msg00025.html)

Mentions a 11.2 LiveCD with KDE 4.4 SC - does anyone know when we can expect it and where I would find it?

Or would I be better off install 11.2 with 4.3.1 and switching to the Factory repo?

Thanks,

Lindsay

You would be best off to wait until July and install 11.3. Factory is a development repo. That means that the packages are buggy and change often.

Probably  But I want to do some dev work against the 4.4 SDK, I can live with some bugginess.

Be sure to turn off the old repositories you don’t want the stable and factory fighting each other. I’d recommend a new user (clean home) or renaming .kde4 to minimize problems.

then, probably best to install 11.2 as born, and upgrade to 4.4, there
is a how-to in the (guess?) how-to forum, here:

dev away!!

it is NOT a production system…so, backup early and often…(to a
different machine, if you value your coding work)

Thanks! That’s brilliant, need that sort of hand holding as not 100% comfortable with the OpenSUSE repo system yet (Kubuntu user).

Will be doing a clean install from scratch.
