Thanks for the reply.
I think I can compromise to: 11.1+KDE4.3+E17
I think that’s almost stable. I really want to have a go to E17. It looks mind blowing.
How about my second question:
**Is it possible to configure KDE4.3 for one user and E17 for the second user?
**

If both kde4 and E17 are installed you just login to the DE of choice. So the answer is Yes.
You should disable auto login during install, see this point: Installation/11.1 DVD Install - openSUSE
You can actually do this later if you miss it.
Then you have to login manually when you boot. This is the best way to run anyway. In the lower left of the login screen you can select the DE of choice (from those you have installed anyway).
If you say create a user JOE and log him in as kde4, he will always do that unless you change it.
The a user BLOGS and log him in as E17…
you get me?
Appreciate your quick reply and got your point. I’ll keep in mind while installing. I’ll get back if I am unable to setup later.
Also, I was wondering since I am not interested in Gnome DE, so shall i go with “KDE Four Live CD” or the standard OpenSUSE DVD ?? I dont want the Gnome taking unnecessary space on my HDD.
I’ve got a low bandwidth connection (192Kbps) so I am going ahead with the Live KDE CD. I hope there’s not much difference.
Any suggestions after the installation from KDE Foue Live CD??
