I had this problem in b5 and it’s still there in RC. Running 11.1 RC as a virtual machine in vmware fusion on my Intel mac mini, which uses shared NAT networking from the mac. This works fine until I go to suspend the virtual machine. At that point, I see the nm-applet disappearing from the panel. When I then revert to the saved image, the applet is gone and so is my network. The only thing I’ve been able to do to restore it is to restart the vm. Any suggestions for what I can do to fix this or get the network back up without a restart?
If you do an ifconfig before the suspend and after resuming do they match or is the ethernet device missing?
What does ifconfig -a show?
What is listed in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules? Does it match the the hardware shown in network devices under Yast?
The issue I’ve run into is two network devices are shown under Yast but only one of them is valid after a reboot.
