hello,
i tried opensuse 11.1 on a dell poweredge 2850 with megaraid adapter.
the installation went straight through. i tried to create a 10 gb file with dd (dd if=/dev/zero of=/test.dat bs=1024M count=10). the same dd command on another 2850 running suse 8.2 takes about 3 minutes.
on opensuse 11.1 bootet with noapic it takes 10-15 minutes. without noapic the kernel dies. my ssh session dies, but i can ping the machine. i don’t know, if the console works cause i only have remote access to that machine.
does anyone have know, what might cause this?
