11.1 KDE 4.1 Won't save widget settings

Hi All,

I just installed OpenSUSE 11.1 with KDE4.1, I’m having the same
problem I’ve always had… I make a kick-@## desktop and widgets
rotated so it looks cool and what not, but ever time I log in, it puts all my
widgets back at the top-left corner…

Please HELP!

Hi,

Are you talking about a fresh install of KDE 4.1? Or did you upgrade from KDE 3.5?

A fresh install of 4.1 along with the rest of openSUSE

Hmmm…

I use to have this with the folderview widget misbehaving. Have you run online update yet and updated all your packages?

Through the Updater Applet or Package Manager?

Package Manager. By going into Yast Software Manager and choosing Package>All Packages>Update if newer version available.

I ended up locking my bar, that worked for me. Now everything is always in the right spots.
