11.1 Install - Wireless very close, Yes IP Address, No URL

Hello, I am new to SUSE from Windows.

Fresh install of 11.1

Wireless card recognized, WEP key accepted, positive authentication.

Networkmanager shows bars with 50% connection.

Will ping default gateway.

Will load CNN.com if you type in the address (CNN.com - Breaking News, U.S., World, Weather, Entertainment & Video News )

Will NOT load any web addresses using the URL.

Is this something simple or do I need to investigate the ‘wrapper’?

That’s a DNS problem. You most probably didn’t define any DNS server or used a wrong IP addres which isn’t a DNS server.

This page has screenshots how to define a DNS server. Description is in German - but screenshots are taken from an English installation.
