11.1 Bootsplash on 11.2

Hi all.
I’ll say it flat out- I don’t appreciate the sudden scarcity of GREEN in openSUSE 11.2. Fine, it’s nice and elegant, but it’s not green. And i love my SUSE green.

So what am i complaining about? I can configure my software’s appearance as i please, right?

Well, for the KDM theme, the Grub Bootsplash, i can download themes people so generously create. I however, desire the BOOTSPLASH… or whatever it is, of openSUSE 11.1. You know, the green with white veins in the background, and a strip of black running horizontally across, with “openSUSE” written on it in white.
Mind- I’m not talking about the KDE Splash Screen, which shows after the Session Manager (when you log into KDE)- there’s an identical Splash Screen that KDE-look.org offers… No, i mean the one that masks the initial Text interface, the FIRST GUI you see after GRUB. The one that also shows when you power down.

Is this a plausible endevour? I do have my 11.1 iso, in case it’s stored as a theme in there.

OMG, change your fonts!!! your post is terrible to read!!!

you can find bootsplash themes in /etc/bootsplash/themes - copy them over to 11.2

Nobody saw this: he’s using M$'s Comic Sans. So uncle Bill livened up this place as well ;).

Let’s make the WingDings the default forum font, and let’s all start writing in languages we don’t speak. On a train to Babylon…

I used Comic Sans for its characteristic casualness. But, yeah, you guys brought Billy into the picture, and that’s made me uncomfortable.

You know I always wondered about the older 11.1 theme in 11.2 as i dont really like the pea soup greens of 11.2
heck I rather have dark chocolate on Ubuntu karmic.
