If I log in using the laptop screen, I get the same log, except that it starts with

Can you try the debug suggestions I provided earlier.

What if you COMPLETELY disconnect the external display … and then attempt the login - any difference ?? (it’s posssible you will have to do a reboot / shutdown, after cable disconnect, for a proper test).

I’m pretty sure I had the “LogLevel=debug” in the kde_settings.conf when I took the logs, and that’s what I got out.

What if you COMPLETELY disconnect the external display … and then attempt the login - any difference ?? (it’s posssible you will have to do a reboot / shutdown, after cable disconnect, for a proper test).

If I disconnect the external display and restart sddm, then I can log in normally from my laptop screen (which is now the only screen).
