The old driver doesn’t build apparently (Message on usenet ML, but not on the ML for some reason), all good here on the 515.76 driver installed the hard way.

For me a few minutes, prefer the old manual way :wink: but you can use dkms AFAIK.

You should not need to wait long for the repo, there is a bug report: 1204143 – Nvidia G06 & G05 drivers fail to build against kernel 6.0.0

That should be nvidia-drm.modeset=1?

Could be a bug in the 470 series driver?

Have you tried not using prime as a switch, but just offload?

Are you running X11 or Wayland?

Thank you I 've corrected kernel boot parameter to nvidia-drm.modeset=1

There is no problem with Leap 15.4 driver so it does not seems to me there could be a bug in the 470 series driver.

prime-select next-boot offload

but WarThunder is still unplayable because of low FPS.

The fact that no one else reports this error supports opinion that it could be HW error: NVRM: failed to copy vbios to system memory. - #34 by generix - Linux - NVIDIA Developer Forums

(I don’t see this error in Ubuntu 20.04 and Leap 15.4)

I wonder how many forum members reading this post are using nvidia G05 driver.

Hi,
The 470 series driver is only up to the nvidia gtx 600 series.
What is your nvidia graphic card model?
The 470 run file has not been updated in the nvidia site the last time I checked.
It doesn’t work with kernel 6.xx , that’s the reason why I shifted to the rpm version of tumbleweed because it is the one that is presently working.

Best bet is to spend a bit for a new graphic card if you are using tumbleweed to keep up with the fast changing kernel, else maybe stick with Leap.
