Default Run GUI app as root and current user settings

I need to run Blender as root to run an internal add-on update. It requires root permission for many dirs/files. I need to run the app with current user settings because there are some GBs of addon parts already used. I tried
    Code:
    kdesu blender
but it switch the settings. How to run properly?
I need to run once, do an internal root-required update and then use as a user

It changes the user. But I found I can run
    Code:
    kdesu -u $whoami blender
and it looks like ran as a root but have no permissions. E.g. I already created a lot of dirs in /usr/bin for it while it executes its Python scripts. But one of them is still unreachable even if I deleted and recreated it.

You might not need to run as root.
A google search leads me to page mentioning "User-Defined Add-on Path": https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/l...es/addons.html
    openSUSE Tumbleweed

Good if it works well, I suspect it''s not about system libs (like Python sources) paths. Will try it later.
