Canon LBP 6200D

Hello suse friends!

I have openSuse Tumbleweed with KDE 5.25 and 5.18.2-1 kernal with X11

I have install the officiell drivers from Canon LBP 6200D .rpm and all is good, openSuse find the printer and drivers and all is good.
But when i print it start by saying “sending data to printer” but nothing happing, printer never print anything.

Anyone have a idea wht to do??

That’s a sign that something is wrong with the driver (or likely filter-related issue).

Yes. Put CUPS into debug mode (more verbose reporting). Sometimes it pays to remove the existing (lengthy) CUPS error log…

sudo rm -f /var/log/cups/error_log

sudo cupsctl --debug-logging

then send a print job, and examine the error_log with

egrep -iA3 "filter|error" /var/log/cups/error_log

Post here with the output that was generated.

The crux of the issue is…

The drivers are 32-bit…there are suggestions in similar threads to make a symlink…

sudo ln -s /usr/lib64/cups/filter/pstocapt3 /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstocapt3

See if that is sufficient.

Hi all

i did the link but no difference still the same (sending data to printer) and then after short time it say printer is done. but nothing has been print.

Can you repeat the diagnostic steps I’ve already outlined (post #2)? Are you getting the same errors reported in the error_log?
Also, please show us the configured printer URI and status…

lpstat -t

Report the status of ccpd…

systemctl status ccpd
