    Default Tumbleweed 20220219 "Mega Update"

Dup to Tumbleweed 20220219 consisted of 2417 packages, 2.3G altogether. For peace of mind the upgrade was performed in two steps:
    Code:
    zypper dup --download-only --no-confirm --allow-vendor-change --allow-downgrade
    zypper dup --no-confirm --allow-vendor-change --allow-downgrade
Zypper would ask no questions and complete the second step in real 12m53.843s, user 4m30.266s, sys 4m18.520s.

Default Switching to GCC 12 using packagekit-background

    Some 3000 packages pending: https://news.opensuse.org/2022/05/13/gcc-12-is-coming/

Use of Packagekit is discouraged by many users due to annoying issues in the past. Host 6700k is setup for automatic updates through packagekit-background. Journal output:
    Code:
    6700K:~ # journalctl -b -1 -u packagekit-background.service
May 14 05:21:18 6700K systemd[1]: Started Script to update the system with PackageKit.

    6700K:~ #
There is some overhead due to packagekit, but host 6700k updated smoothly as did host erlangen using "zypper dup".
