Booting into black screen. Can only log in using root user.

I tried it with my root user. (Startx) and it even happens with root.
PS: It wasn't the case when I first posted this thread. I could type startx and log in to my root user's graphical interface.

Edit: I created a new user with -m, ksplashqml doesn't want to start. It crashes with every user.

Let's see if changing display manager has an impact on this:

I tried every one of them. Only console didn't crash, and it was only a console so not very helpful.

If it were mine I'd probably delete the DM's config file(s), then force reinstall the DM. Beyond that I'm out of ideas, other than doing a snapper rollback to before the problem started, then going through the updates process afresh. If you're not using BTRFS and so don't have working snapper, you could try an installation media boot to upgrade the installed system, or a clean reinstallation. Maybe if you wait awhile someone with an easier solution will respond.
