Default Spoof Caller ID on voip landline

I wish to enter the scambaiter field using my linux desktop machine. Firstly, I need to be able to spoof caller id to protect/hide my personal phone number. I have a voip landline (spectrum communications).

I would prefer a linux desktop app rather than a redial web app.

Anyone have good experiences with a linux desktop caller id spoofer app? Anyone have any suggestions to test?

    thanks, tom kosvic
