    Hi
Nope, that file won't have any impact, but your not up to date.... glibc update etc

    I would suggest switching to a tty (ctrl+alt+F1) log in as root and run (forget the vendor change);

    Code:
    zypper ref -f
    zypper -vvv dup
Or if want to run in a GUI, run the command screen first and su - to root user....

    Hi
Are you using tumbleweed cli per chance?

    Code:
    zypper lr -d

Somehow you added/enabled history repos, hence not being able to update and also likely resulted in the initial system issue with the GT710 card....

You are likely also getting incompatible packages (with respect to libraries) from those other repositories as well.....

Go into YaST repositories and edit out the history/20210307 part or remove and re-add....

    Code:
    zypper rr 7 8

    zypper ar -f -g -n "Main Repository (OSS)" http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/ download.opensuse.org-oss
    zypper ar -f -g -n "openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Non-Oss" http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/non-oss/ repo-non-oss

    zypper ref -f
    zypper -vvv dup

ok, I reply to the earlier myself.

I did install tumbleweed-cli and I did perform "tumbleweed update"

    it's now upgrading 2043 packages

    Hi
There you go, ignore my previous post then, or once update has finished (did you run screen?) perhaps run the command to revert tumbleweed-cli (uninit?).

If it's still downloading, then press ctrl+c a few times to cancel and switch to the tty or run screen to complete the update.

As indicated I suspect this is what caused your issues in the first place

FWIW I run 4 gpu's here including a GT710 for gpu passthrough with an intel card as primary gpu....

no idea how could I've done that. is it possible because I used older snapshots more than once?

can I edit out the repos after tumbleweed-cli finished or shall I cancel it first?

also, would you suggest to use zypper ref -f, zypper -vvv dup for the future or tumbleweed update is good enough?

ok you anwered my questions at the same time as I asked thanks! I stopped tumbleweed-cli and I'm gonna now do it by tty.

that is really interesting. I may plug the GT710 back in to use it as passthrough. have you got any guide to do so?

    Hi
I would cancel first, then restart via the tty is probably the best......

Up to you, I prefer the normal way and not use the cli tool... In you case if you decide to use it then you must tumbleweed update only, again it is fraught with issues since the tool does not work with extra repositories active....

Say for instance your stuck on that 07 history release and Mozilla updates along with some specific new libraries you will break it because the old repo will not have anything new or new packages it's frozen in time....
