    recently I installed opensuse on a laptop (Dell G5 15 SE). I'm seeing this error on boot screen before the login gui. I was using manjaro and there I haven't seen these errors. Thanks in Advance

    Code:
    $ dmesg -l err

    @oshan.wisumperuma:

    The errors are not unusual with AMD hardware – AMD Ryzen 5 3400G machine –
    Code:
     > dmesg -l err
    [    1.834622] pci 0000:00:00.2: AMD-Vi: Unable to read/write to IOMMU perf counter.
    [    5.456593] sp5100-tco sp5100-tco: Watchdog hardware is disabled

    A possible reason is, the openSUSE decision to strictly observe licensing issues and agreements …
    • Other distributions seem to be following another (legal) course …

    I also got errors I haven't with other distros but this doesn't keep TW running fine on my laptops.
    For the one I'm typing right this post right now:

    Code:
    % dmesg -l err
    [ 0.065501] DMAR-IR: [Firmware Bug]: ioapic 2 has no mapping iommu, interrupt remapping will be disabled

    The last two errors appeared since update of broadcom-wl* driver to the latest version. The only visible thing is the link speed isn't showing anymore on NetWorkManager.
