My response was too long to fit. The service goes down inconsistently and rather that waste time signing on with dropbox or other posting site I split it into two pieces. Sorry.

Under Ubuntu in which the 8200ND works...

    Code:
    $ uname -a
    Linux ion-E3800N 5.8.0-36-generic #40~20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 6 10:15:55 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
...and lsmod reveals 8192eu is loaded.

    Under 15.2,,,

    Code:
     :~> uname -a
    Linux localhost.localdomain 5.3.18-lp152.57-default #1 SMP Fri Dec 4 07:27:58 UTC 2020 (7be5551) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
     ion@localhost:~>
...and lsmod reveals 8192eu is loaded.

Default AW: USB wifi not recognized

If Ubuntu use rtl8192eu as kernel module, they have patched this module into their kernel.

Your Wlan Chip (2357:0126) is not inserted in the r8xxxu kernel module up to now, r8xxxu will be the driver for rtl8192eu Chips in the next kernels.
    So you must use rtl8192eu.

I have an Update in my repo , so please update your driver.

Maybe this is useful for your Wlan:
    as root:
    Code:
    echo "options 8192eu rtw_power_mgnt=0 rtw_enusbss=0" | tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/8192eu.conf
It will write options 8192eu rtw_power_mgnt=0 rtw_enusbss=0 to the file /etc/modprobe.d/8192eu.conf

    Restart your Computer.

I will work on this later. My wired connection keeps cutting off. My wifi connection only works with Ubuntu and sometimes it cuts off too. I will wait until things stabilize because it's driving me nuts. Thanks for all the help so far.

I finally got a period of connection stability so I could update and follow your instruction. I have been testing since and everything appears to be working. I truly thank you for spending the time to resolve my problem. Especially since there are likely no other users with my peculiar hardware.

Default AW: USB wifi not recognized

Especially since there are likely no other users with my peculiar hardware.
I have also not the hardware to test, only in my Laptop is a rtl8821ce chip I can test the rtl8821ce Wlan.

I only build rpms from the git-sources so people can install and update in an easier way.

Now I am patching drivers for Leap 15.3.

    If the problem returns,
IMO the problem is most likely in Network Manager.

The problem doesn't appear to me to be at a lower level, the vendor:device ID suggests that your radio chip is properly recognized.
Although it's a leap of faith, I assume if a device is recognized properly, then the proper driver should be loaded for that device.
Although I didn't look into Saurland's build, I assume whatever he is building is likely a Userspace driver. If so, the driver should be considered but maybe re-inspect what is provided by the kernel.

The log clearly states that the problem is that Network Manager cannot load the device as a managed object.
Network Manager first discovers the unmanaged device, then tries to reload the device but is having problems managing it.
The logs also don't can't identify a reason why the device is unmanaged.
Without structured testing, it's impossible to narrow possibilities.

It's just a start to troubleshooting,
But IMO it's likely either a bug in NM or something specific to your setup.

@tsu2:The wl driver is a proprietary kernel module. User sauerland (Stephen Hemeier) kindly maintains a repo and builds openSUSE packages from the github sources. In any case, as you can read from post #17, it is solved already.
