    Angry I hate Libreoffice

    Hello
    This is not a help topic , but its something that i wanted to talk about , about this ****ing libreoffice !!
    Personaly i hate it , and i was glad that in opensuse setup i can choose what apps i want to install , but for some unknown reason when i unselect office section it wont remove this ****ing app from installation !! And turns out i need to manually deselect it , even after that when system boots up and i check for system update it shows that i have 200kb security update , i click install and vuess what , again for some ****ing unknown reason it starts to download and install this ****ing libreoffice , without any notice . I dont know its a bug or something else but its very annoying .
    How can this ****** app be sooo annoying i force itself into systems. And i dont know why almost all distros have this **** preinstalled. Even windows doesnt have ms office preinstalled

    Hi
    First off, stop the potty mouth, it's not tolerated!

    Any application once removed can be either tabooed via YaST Software Management, or from the command line using zypper addlock (or al)....

    Code:
    zypper rm libreoffice-*
    zypper al libreoffice-*

    The “libreoffice” RPM package is “suggested” by the “patterns-office-office” «Pattern» RPM package.
    Code:
     > rpm --query --suggests --recommends --requires patterns-office-office
    libreoffice
    libreoffice-calc
    libreoffice-draw
    libreoffice-impress
    libreoffice-math
    libreoffice-writer
    rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
    rpmlib(FileDigests) <= 4.6.0-1
    rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
    rpmlib(PayloadIsXz) <= 5.2-1

    Therefore, as well removing all the LibreOffice packages, you also have to remove the “patterns-office-office” package.
    • If you're really so disenchanted with everything “Office”, you may well have to apply locks to the packages to prevent them being re-installed.

    BTW:
    • Apps” are things used by mobile telephone addicts and, those humans on this planet who believe that computers are supplied only by a company based in Redmond …

    To help your disenchantment with “Office” text, spreadsheet, drawing and, database applications, may I suggest that, you consider professional tools such as, Adobe Framemaker …
    • If your budget can't cover the Framemaker licence costs, you could consider “Scribus” …
