Core temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled and high cpu temperature

Hi,

I’ve just installed openSuse 15.2 KDE on Dell precision 5520.
What I have noticed (compared to Ubuntu and Clear Linux I have previously installed on this laptop) is high cpu temperature and high fan speed.

The CPU goes over 70 C for just browsing. When I open Teams or Webex sometime the CPU temperature is over 90C.

– File indexing is disabled
– When I run dmesg I see the following messages very often:

Has anyone experienced the same problem ?
Any help will be appreciated.

Tell more about hardware.
Try to update BIOS.
Try to disable nVidia graphics in BIOS.

Also check top you may be sing file indexing going on in the background this can eat CPU

My friend got the same issue with Dell
He tried,literaly, everything!
And after all he went to official dell service in his city and they said his “CPU has manufacturing defects”
So he got the same free notebook from Dell, made some tests and it was ok this time
