    Default Keyboard not working

    Yesterday, I did :
    Code:
    $ sudo zypper ref; zypper lu
    $ sudo zypper up
    Now I'm having problems with type in KDE

    * I can type in Kate or a shell session or in firefox right now by posting to the forum
    * I cannot type in the menu/application launcher(the search box) or edit the desktop icons

    Code:
    $ inxi -Fxxxz

    Default [SOLVED mostly] Re: Keyboard not working

    I used: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php...ration_related

    1. renamed all my kde configs
    2. deleted all the caches
    3. rebuild the kde cache
    4. reassign the menu launcher to alt-f1

    The reason for the mostly is that I'm going through to reinstate the various configurations that didn't have any problem.

    Hopefully this will also help other people.
