Civilization 6 under OpenSUSE Leap 15.1 ?

Hi,

One of my clients wants to migrate his laptop (ASUS ROG) from Windows to Linux. So far the list of equivalent applications (Internet, Office, Graphics, Multimedia, etc.) is complete, but there is one thing left. He has one single game on his machine: Civilization 6. And he'd like to use it under Linux.

I've been 100 % GNU/Linux since 2001 (I'm an IT professional) and I'm running OpenSUSE Leap 15.1 KDE on all my desktop clients. But I know strictly nothing about games. So I thought I'd ask in this forum.

Does the Civilization 6 game run under Linux ?

That's a game that runs on Steam? If so you can install Steam from the non-oss repository.

Just to report back. Civilization 6 runs perfectly on OpenSUSE 15.1.

The trick was to get the hardware to behave.
