Great. Now you may release allocated, but unused space. Start balancing:

    Code:
    erlangen:~ # systemctl start btrfs-balance.service

    Check for completion:

    Code:
    erlangen:~ # systemctl status btrfs-balance.service

True GUI file managers only hide files in a trash directory, thus freeing no space, but orthodox file managers remove in same manner as rm, whether run in an Xterm, from a GUI menu, or from a login shell. I used rm today for probably the first time in over a year, and I never use any type of GUI file manager. I use a more or less even split if MC and FCL. "d" from ncdu also does as rm.

Balancing worked as intended. You may show the result by running "btrfs filesystem usage -T /" again.
