Default Dolphin File Manager Now Supports the WS-DISCOVERY Protocol for Samba Host Discovery

    Recent news...
    https://pointieststick.com/2020/03/0...week-in-kde-3/
    https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...rts-March-2020

Now available for those using KDE (via KDE_repositories), Dolphin 20.04.0 onwards can now discover and display Windows hosts via
Network > Shared Folders (Samba) using the WS-Discovery protocol. It does need kdsoap installed first however...

    https://software.opensuse.org/search...t=ALL&q=kdsoap

I've been using it successfully for the past week or so, (after a minor bug was resolved).

1- Should I add those repo's? I use plasma and have KDE on my machines(I think).
2- Is there a downside to a novice like myself?
I couldn't tell from reading the news links in your post.
    HP Compaq desktop Leap15.1 Win10, Win7
    Toshiba laptops Leap15.1 & Win10, HP AiO Win10.
I can now print with openSuSe Leap! Can Scan now, could be better!!
I can backup my iPod and iPad with Windows, can't with Linux.(Will get there someday!)

Nothing there you 'should do'. But if you thing this would improve your current setup, this part is relevant for Leap 15.1
    Code:
    zypper ar -p 75 https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt5/openSUSE_Leap_15.1 KDE-Qt5
    zypper ar -p 75 https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Frameworks5/openSUSE_Leap_15.1 KDE-Frameworks
    zypper ar -p 75 https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Applications/KDE_Frameworks5_openSUSE_Leap_15.1 KDE-Applications
    zypper ar -p 75 https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/KDE_Applications_openSUSE_Leap_15.1 KDE-Extra
    zypper -v dup --allow-vendor-change

Hi Bill. I use the KDE repos for a more updated desktop environment. This just relates to recent discovery functionality, that you may (or may not) require.
