Thread: Please contribute to user statistics

    Default Please contribute to user statistics

    Hi there.

    Please contribute to the statistical report with the help of https://en.opensuse.org/Hardware_probe

    Need at least 100 user probes to create the openSUSE-specific report like the following: https://github.com/linuxhw/Trends

    The report will allow us to identify and prioritize the most popular configurations.

    Thanks!

    Great information provided in the output. Worth contributing just for that.

    @linuxbuild:

    Running it now – the Wiki doesn't mention that, the “edid-decode” package is also needed.

    Weird -
    All my Intel boxes (with Intel graphics) ran this fine. (7 boxes)
    All my AMD boxes (with AMD graphics) I got this: (3 boxes)

    Code:
    LLR1:~ # hw-probe -all -upload
    Probe for hardware ... Ok

    @larryr:

    Possibly, “linux-hardware.org” had a temporary glitch …
    Code:
    Can't connect to linux-hardware.org:80 (Connection timed out)
    My AMD (pure) boxes have successfully dumped their information to the survey:
    <https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=604ede218b>
    <https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=2a111894bc>
    Looking at the “recent probes” list, it seems that, possibly, a little bit of automation is adding systems to the survey …

    ---+----------------+----------------------------------------+--------
