Default konsole open tab warning on logout/shutdown?

In the last couple of days, after updating to this week's releases, I've noticed that konsole now pops up warnings about multiple open tabs when logging out or shutting down.

I'm trying to figure out whether it may be a bug in konsole, a change to its behavior, or an accidental setting change on my part.

Is anyone else on the latest Tumbleweed seeing this behavior?

Yes, I see that. However, I do not know whether that is a change in behavior. With the way that I normally use "konsole", I would be unlikely to run into.

I did notice, while testing, that the screen which asks this has a "do not ask again" box. If you check that box, presumably it won't happen again.

I guess I should now test whether that also happens with "yakuake". Hmm, with "yakuake" I see a configuration setting "Confirm quit when more than one session is open".

Thanks for the feedback. Konsole normally warns about open tabs when an attempt is make to close the Konsole window (via the close icon). I think that's a useful warning, I would like that to continue. But it now it is asking on logout and shutdown, which I think is a change/bug. When I logout, I normally leave several konsoles with multiple tabs open (desiring the same configuration on next login).

If the new behavior is official, I can change my habits. If this thread doesn't resolve whether it's a intended change or a bug, I'll raise a bug to seek a definitive answer to this question.

If you do raise a bug, that probably needs to be at bugs.kde.org. Or perhaps ask at the kde forum.

As suggested, I raised a bug at bugs.kde.org:

    https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416728

It seems something like this has happened before there is an old bug that describes something similar:

    https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127194

The old comments explain that the popup on logout/shutdown doesn't make sense, because it occurs too late in the logout/shutdown sequence for the user to cancel.

I get the “Tabs open” dialogue from Konsole for a few seconds after requesting a logout or shutdown. Then it briefly changes to a “process running” dialogue box before tje logout or shutdown continues. On logging in again the session is restored including the open Konsole tabs.

So no need to change behaviour -- just slow down. It does seem to be a bug 'though.

This started to happen with the Qt 5.14.0 update, and is no intentional change AFAICT (there certainly was no change in konsole in this regard).

Btw, it's not restricted to konsole, konqueror e.g. does the same since that update.
