Is there a command that would clear out those installation temp files from cuda?
    Hi
    Have a look at the log for file locations;

    Code:
    less /var/log/cuda-installer.log
    I suspect /usr/local/cuda-10.2.

    /var/log/cuda-installer.log
    Code:
    [INFO]: Overriding compiler check
    [INFO]: Driver not installed.
    [INFO]: Initializing menu
    [INFO]: Setup complete
    /var/log/cuda-installer.log lines 1-4/4 (END)
    I don't see anything else.

there are a couple in the /tmp folder.
Can that folder be cleared safely?

    Hi
    Does it show much usage?

    Code:
    du -sh /tmp
Is there a folder in /usr/local for cuda?

there is currently 4.5 Gb in /tmp

there is not a cuda folder in /user/local

my system is providing an error that there is only 1.1 gb of space left in root.

I am going to delete the zypper cache that I have been holding. that will help some.

    Hi
As your user delete any files/directories own by you... make sure you log out of the desktop and switch to a tty, make sure it's at runlevel 3 as well....

    Code:
    su -
    systemctl isolate multi-user.target
    exit
    cd /tmp
    delete your user stuff
    du -sh /tmp
Are you using btrfs and snapper?

my / drive is 23 Gb

    The big users are:
    /usr at 8.1 g
    /tmp at 4.5 g
    /root at 4.1 g
    /lib at /1.3 g
    /opt at .985 g

I emptied the /cache/zypp folder of 4.1 Gb. and emptied the trash. Rebooting now to see if it cleared.

This came in while I was checking sizes below. I will reboot and try.
No I am not using btrfs. Not familiar with snapper.

rebooted, still shows there is only 2.3 g open at /
I deleted 4.1 g from /var/cache/zypp, but it didn't clear any space? I would have expected to see 6.4 g open now. Where did the free space go?
    rebooting to your directions now.

    Hi
So what's in /root? That for sure could use a clean out...

Just have to go through and see under the likes of /var and check the directories.... If you at the tty, I don't see any issues with deleting any files/directories starting with tmp....

Trying to make more space, would like to resize (shrink) the Windows C: and add that to the /root partition.
I can't find anything to shrink the C:. I have tried the YaST Partition Tool, Partition Magic & Gparted.
As a not the windows drive is just before the root.
So if I shrink it, I was hoping to add that portion to the beginning of the root.
    Is that possible?
