Thread: dongle device driver for rtl8192eu

    This is the output
    Code:
    $ sudo dmesg | egrep "rtl|wlan"

oh, but what I meant was I got that notice after installing lsb-release.
Module rtl8xxxu that is included in the kernel didnt work and then I blacklisted it and installed that other one from github and its working with no issues. The thing is I need to compile and install it after each kernel update.
    Many thanks.

Ok, I got it. Do you think I could maybe use the rtl8xxxu module, don't you?
Tomorrow Ill try to use it and get that info. If there is any other log could be helpful to find out why the module is not working in my system please tell me.
    Thanks.

Yes, and you should capture the dmesg output when the rtl8xxxu module is not blacklisted.

    Thanks.

Default AW: dongle device driver for rtl8192eu

Maybe you can use this Repo for the rtl8192eu:
    https://download.opensuse.org/reposi...leweed/x86_64/

There are 2 rpms to install, the rtl8192eu-kmp and the rtl8192-blacklist rpm.

If a newer kernel is published, the rpms will be also build new and published a short time later.
If you enable the Repo, it will be done automatically by
    Code:
    zypper dup

    When trying to install rtl...-kmp:

    Code:
nothing provides r8168-blacklist-rtl8xxxu needed by rtl8192eu-kmp-default-5.6...
    options:
    1: do not install rtl81...
2: break rtl8192eu-kmp... by ignoring some of its dependencies
then if I choose option 2 it seems no new module is installed though the install process appears as successful.
package rtl8168... is between the dependencies but its not in your repo nor in any other.
And the repository is already added and refreshed successfully.
