    Default ACPID missing in action

I've been having problem with the suspend/resume. Going through the systemctl list-all, I noticed that acpid is not installed.

    Code:
    > zypper se acpid

    Loading repository data...
    Reading installed packages...

    S | Name | Summary | Type
    --+-------+---------------------------------+--------
      | acpid | Executes Actions at ACPI Events | package
    • Is it safe to install it?
    • Why wasn't it installed from the the DVD ISO? It's enabled in the BIOS as S3

    Thanks

    Yes

It's not installed by default (although you can still use it for customised handling of certain events if desired). AFAIU, systemd/udev is responsible for ACPI management now.
