    If it is a new mac address each connection - he has no choice but to delete each time.
    Or perhaps not restrict the connection to a particular MAC.

    Here's connection I created:
    Code:
    [connection]
    id=Tethering_1
    uuid=029f643a-e2d7-4668-a6c3-5d523d19fd24
    type=ethernet
    permissions=

    [ethernet]
    auto-negotiate=true
    mac-address=00:61:DA:21:56:00
    mac-address-blacklist=

    [ipv4]
    dns-search=
    method=auto

    [ipv6]
    addr-gen-mode=stable-privacy
    dns-search=
    method=auto

    And it works ok like this?
    No. As soon as I enable usb sharing in my phone I see "Wired connection 1" automatically created. If I disconnect "Wired connection 1" no way to connect "Tethering_1" because it doesn't appear in Network Manager window. If I open NM configuration I see "Tethering_1" but with right click there isn't "connect" available as I have for other connection.

    Have you tried removing the ‘mac-address’ address entry so that the connection is not restricted to a particular device?

    Deleting mac address connection Tethering_1 works!
    Tomorrow at work I'll create again ethernet connection to check if they coexist.

    Now tethering works, not only if an ethernet connection is present but even if ethernet is working, for example to print in a network printer.
    Then problem is solved.
    But in my opinion all this should be automatic, as in other Linux distribution. May be I would have to open a bug report?

    Glad to have been of assistance.

    If you feel that it is warranted I suppose. It's not hard to configure dedicated connections in NetworkManager though.
