Default Desktop Folder Setting - Wallpaper : where is the configuration file ?

    Hello.
I am assigning a background image to ROOT user's desktop.
I have added two images from my personal folder, but one is wrong.
How to remove the wrong image in the menu "Desktop folder setting"/wallpaper of the user ROOT ?
I could not find any reference to the wrong picture file in /root nor in /usr/share.....

    Any help is welcome.
    Thanks for helping. JCD

My 2 cents: You should not have a root user desktop at all. And never talk about security issues as long as you have.

If you have installed a stock wallpaper, they are all in /usr/share. The only ones in a user’s folder are ones which are not stock wallpapers.

    Hello.
    That is not my question.

    Hello.
I have a folder with wallpapers and icons.
Relative to my question, from desktop configuration menu I have click on the ADD button and choose the file from my folder; Then I selected the relevant wallpaper. As I made a wrong choice, I selected a new file from my folder then selected the relevant wallpaper.
Now I want to remove the choice and the file of the first file I added wrongly.

What do you mean by installing a stock wallpaper.

    Any help is welcome.

IMNSHO I do help you. That is, to avoid you creating and having one of the biggest security and breakage risks. This one is about Ubuntu, but explains it quite nicely https://www.howtogeek.com/124950/htg...ystem-as-root/

    Hi
    I would suggest looking for a thumbnail cache in either .cache, .config, .kdeN? (I'm not a KDE user). I doubt you will get much help (It's all guess work) since you have decided to run a desktop session as root. Can you find the file(s) locations/contents in your user directory. I would suggest fgrep and the name of the file to see if it's in a cache, for example;

    Code:
    cd
    fgrep -r <your_filename_no extension> *

I suppose your are too much busy, but you don't read carefully my question. The question is not how to run or not as root.
It is a general question :
Desktop Folder Setting - Wallpaper : where is the configuration file ?
You don't help me one second.
