Question Using PXE for boot a Leap 15.0 Live system

Hi, I'm setting a PXE server and everything works right, except for a openSUSE Live system. I can boot the Leap 15.0 openSUSE installer, other distros and even a Debian Live system, but not openSUSE's.

I'm searching documentation about this, but everything I've found out is this bugzilla annotation: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1099548

(Btw, I wonder where is this syntaxis coming from).

Maybe this bug has been raised because of the http access to the iso, but another schemes are working properly.

Several years ago, I registered another bug about this same question: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=857824 (Then it was marked as solved for future versions, but it seems not yet).

Does anybody get it working? Thanks!

I can confirm this bug still remains on 15.1 version (Snapshot 6.2). Is anybody there?

Been awhile since I've looked closely at a PXE deployment,
But I guess my question is why you're deploying a Live image the way you're doing it... Why split up the kernel, initrd, and the root partition/files? Why not just deploy the LiveCD image as-is? Remember, unlike an install image, a LiveCD is intended to be run immediately, without any installation so all the parts you split up should already exist in a LiveCD image, ready to run..

So, how do you do it? I've tried but I can't get the proper syntax. May I see how your pxe entries looks like?

There's no documentation about this and apparently nobody has the minor idea.

From available openSUSE and SUSE documentation,
Although I haven't tested the documentation by setting up a working system, skimming the documentation I don't see anything that jumps out at me as faulty.

IMO the documentation is a little bit backwards... My SOP for all networked solutions is to always set up the Server before you set up the clients... The following SUSE guide for setting up PXE looks OK, I don't see anything obviously different than setting up on an openSUSE. Ignore the SMT section, that won't be on openSUSE...

    https://www.suse.com/documentation/s...e-install.html

Although the PXE client is included in the above, there is an SDB specific to setting up an openSUSE client (but to me, PXE is pretty generic because it's before anything OS specific can run)

The above should be sufficient to set up a basic, working PXE booti, the following might be interesting for some advanced options
